Who is Transform Aid International?

Transform Aid was established in 2013. It continues in new ways the vision of Baptist World Aid Australia to end extreme poverty since 1959, and shares in its mission.

As such we draw upon over fifty years of experience working with Christian Partners and a proven track record of holistic development practice giving witness to God’s love among us.

Specifically we have expertise in Community Development, Child Centred Community Development, Disaster Management and Advocacy. Full details of our International Programs activities can be found on pp2-32 of the Annual Report. In addition Transform Aid International benefits from a rich history of theological reflection on the place of Community Development in the mission of God; leading edge business systems including a customised CRM data base; governance, administration and marketing/fundraising strategies and products including community centred child sponsorship.

In 2004, Baptist World Aid was the primary funding agency of Micah Challenge Australia and has provided key support ever since. Micah Challenge is a genuine coalition of agencies working to halve poverty by 2015. This culture of placing the goal to end poverty before the profile of the agency is central to the vision of Transform Aid International. Our vision is to serve the wider Church and cooperate in ending extreme poverty by all possible means.
